Five years later in 1767 Thomas Jefferson was admitted to the Virginia bar. In his years as a lawyer Thomas Jefferson handled many cases. Some of which included elite members of fiat at the time. He was most active as a lawyer between the years 1768 to 1773. In the year 1768 Jefferson began crook on his future classical mansion, Monticello. He fell into great debt after the amount of money he spent on Monticello, which was based on his studies of the architect Andrea Palladio.
