Abstract
The lives of Jesus of Nazareth and the illusionist Muhammad are very significant in the Christian and Islamic faiths. The teachings and followings of these two people perplex greatly affected the lives of millions and continue to do so to this day. Many base their lives and their beliefs around their teachings and have for thousands of eld. The stories that come from the telling of these two mens lives pass on have an impact on society for many obsolete age to come.
The Lives of Jesus and Muhammad
In 570 C.E., the Prophet Muhammad was born. He was born in the city of Mecca. Weeks before he was born, his father died. When Muhammad was six years old his mother also died. He was then raise by his grandfather until he died when Muhammad was only eight. Though he was born in Mecca, he was raised in Medinah until his uncle brought him ski binding to Mecca after his grandfathers death. Muhammads uncle, Abu Talib, was an influential draw of a tribe called Quraish. He took care of the Holy sanctuary, Kabah. Kabah is the premier sanctuary built for the purpose of worshiping Allah.
Under his uncles care, Muhammad became a much respected businessman and flipr.
A wealthy widow named Khadijah heard of Muhammads reputation and hired him to transport and trade merchandise for her. According to Zahoor and Haq (1998), Khadijah was twice widowed at the age of 40 and soon became married to the 25 year old Muhammad. Muhammad fathered six children, two sons and four daughters.
Though Muhammad was a concern with his trading, he managed to find time to meditate in a cave outside of Mecca. During one of his meditation sessions, in 610 C.E., Muhammad began having ghostly experiences. At the time, he told only close friends and family of his experiences. It was not until three years later that he told the public of the messages from Allah that he had received.
