Fists in the PocketResponse
Marco Bellocchio made an Italian masterpiece in 1965 called Fists in the Pocket. A movie that bravely foreshadowed the student revolution with an edgy story line that b tells between a tragic drama and horror. When the movie released, it raised sin during the quiet mid-sixties cinema world of neorealism because of its radical and tremendous sarcastic laugh at raw societies values. The main caseful, Alessandro, is tortured by deep twisted desires to destroy his handicapped and nonadaptive lower middle class family because of its in skill to fit into modern society. His annihilating rage and subtle hints of sexual relations with his babe is at first viewed as mere immaturity until he plummets into killing his own mother and youngest chum in order to rid his eldest brother of them. The eldest brother named, Augusto, is the tho sibling that is not disabled with epilepsy and has a desire to fleet a normal life with his fiance, but can not due to obvious familial responsibilities. With the story line of a brother who attempts to kill all of his siblings in order for his brother to purse happiness, Bellocchio repeatedly stabs bourgeois family values and Catholic piety in the heart.
The audience is arrogaten back by the ability to connect and sympathize with each of the characters within the family. In the low of the film, the family seems to have the ability to function in an ordinary bourgeois society. Towards the climax, one notices that the family can not function because the mother is finesse and still morning over her husbands death which allows her the excuse of not being a parental figure to her children. Augusto decides the he has to take on the noble responsibility of a care conferrer instead of simply running off and fulfilling his dreams.
