King successfully used fairness and honesty to restitution the clergymens letter. He presented his letter in the form of a dialogue instead of a monologue. This quote was from a great Christian philosopher and king knew the clergymen couldnt ignore the words of such a wise man. King also used emotion to find common ground with the clergymen.
