My company has recently do a change in who makes our employees schedule. The company has chosen to use a scheduling program to make employees schedules. This has created some discontentedness for the employees. I cause had to have some conversations with employees where the emotions of the changes ran high for the interrelate and definitely had the potential to run high for me. I had an accomplice who for 25 years worked the same morning shift 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM and I had to be the 1 to express to her that her job now required her to work from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM. If she could work those hours the schedule would not give way an hours for her creating a hole in her income.



The associate explained to me that it would mean that she would have to rearrange her home life due to this change as her husband was ill and at the very latest she could work is 5:00 PM. This associate cried to me for five minutes. I understood and matte every bit of her emotion. I agreed with how she felt as I would not have wanted to be in that situation. Fortunately I was able to stay calm and focused on the problem which was the time in which her job undeniable her there. We discussed what some of her options would be and none of them were anything that she wanted to do. I had to contain her to give me a day or so to insure at some of the other issues within the store that stirred some other associates to see if I could come up with something that could help her in her situation.
